Products We Love

This month, we gave ourselves a special mission: to bring together some of our favorite products and services from black-owned prenatal, postpartum and baby companies. From natural handmade teethers to t-shirts that will make you smile, we’ve got you (and your baby) covered.

Pretty Please Teethers

It started with one mission in mind: to find safe, stylish, natural handmade items -- something that fit a modern and minimalist style but was functional. It felt like it should be simple but was, surprisingly, harder than expected. Being pregnant with her youngest and on bed rest with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, HG, or severe morning sickness, Kelli Ulrey had a lot of spare time on her hands; and since she couldn't find what she wanted elsewhere, she decided to make her own. Since then, Pretty Please Teethers has been designing and hand-making products that babies will enjoy and  moms will love.

Coddle

Coddle’s  collection of plant-based and organic products speeds up healing and helps you recover faster after giving birth. Coddle is here to help moms like you understand what truly happens after you’ve given birth and prepare you for your postpartum recovery.  They don’t ignore the not-so-fun, unexciting stuff that happens after birth and beyond. Instead, Coddle helps you celebrate what awesomeness your body did instead of what your baby did to your body.

LOOM

LOOM exists to empower people as they navigate their sexual and reproductive experience. Celebrating inclusivity and choice, LOOM is an entirely new approach to health education and personal growth.

DRK Beauty

Community and community building is truly at the core of everything DRK Beauty delivers. DRK Beauty Healing is on a mission to give 10,000 hour of free therapy to women of color.

KaAn’s Designs

KaAn’s (pronounced Can’s) is a brand developed by a Mrs.(Ashley), with some help from her Mr.(Kenny), and inspired by the daily adventures of their two little boys Aiden and Noah. KaAn’s makes tees for cool millennial parents and their little crew. Their products speak parenting truths and are sure to get a smile, or even a high-five from a fellow tribe member that understands the struggle. They’re a brand built on love and family and you won’t want to miss them.

Little Muffincakes

Little Muffincakes is  a character-based brand established to present high quality merchandise in the marketplace that reflects the diversity of beauty in children. They seek to provide the necessary building blocks of self-acceptance to promote high self-esteem in children of color from birth. Representation matters so Little Muffincakes is filling voids by providing blankets, bibs, apparel, wrapping paper and other products with relatable imagery.
