Generations By Poppy
Do you know your birth story? Or the birth stories of your family or closest friends? It turns out that most of us do not but we really want to know.
In February, we were proud to introduce 'Generations By Poppy,' an audio series centered around conversations between parents and their children, siblings, grandparents, friends, aunties and uncles. You get the picture.
We couldn't think of a better month to kick off “Generations” than Black History Month. In our community, storytelling and oral history is strong, and has lived on through many generations. We think our birth stories should too.
We'd love to record short conversations between you and your loved one about giving birth - the joy, the pain, the taboos, and those moments that maybe you weren’t quite ready to hear. But that’s ok, we are in this thing – together. If you'd like to take part in this series, DM us on Instagram!
