Rainbow Mama
Whitney Robinson, a product manager and health tech guru, is on a mission to tackle the maternal mortality crisis for women of color. After suffering a pregnancy loss seven years ago, she launched The Renée, a series of “jam sessions,” where women of color can “hack their pregnancies.”
She recently gave birth to a preemie at 25 weeks and here’s what she had to say about it on The Renée’s Instagram page: “I’m working through a great deal of emotions and fighting the feeling of defeat. However, during these hours of kangaroo care in the NICU, while my husband cares for our 3 fidgety kids, I’m slowly moving forward and allowing myself to simply be. These moments also solidify my longing to continue with The Renée.
